Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Betting Odds

The Bob Baffert trained Game Winner is the early betting favorite in the latest Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (G1) betting odds just a week out from the event at Churchill Downs on Nov. 2.

The colt is listed at +150 in early Breeders’ Cup Juvenile betting odds at Bovada and comes into the race undefeated in three career starts. The colt won the American Pharoah (G1) at Santa Anita in his last outing.

Baffert has won the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile three times, with Vindication in 2002, Midshipman in 2008 and New Year’s Day in 2013. He has saddled 25 runners since his first with Zippersup, who ran seventh in 1996.

A Son of Candy Ride, Game Winner comes into the race owning the top last out Beyer Speed Figure of 97.

Brown Looking to Go Back to Back

Trainer Chad Brown is looking for back to back wins in the Juvenile and sends out Complexity, who is the current second choice in early betting at Bovada at +350. The colt is perfect in two starts, breaking his maiden in his debut and winning the Champagne (G1) at Belmont Park going a mile in his stakes debut.

Brown won the Juvenile last year with Good Magic, who was still a maiden after a second in his debut and a runner up finish in the Champagne.

Shug McGaughey sends out Champagne runner up Code of Honor, who is the third choice in Breeders’ Cup Juvenile betting odds at Bovada at +600.

The Champagne has been the leading prep race, nine Juvenile winners coming out of that prep. The Breeders’ Futurity (G1) at Keeneland has produced six winners.

Knicks Go won this year’s Breeders’ Futurity, pulling off a 70-1 upset. The colt is +2500 in Breeders’ Cup Juvenile betting odds.

Mind Control, winner of the Hopeful (G1) at Saratoga going seven furlongs is the fourth choice at +1000. American Pharoah runner up Gunmetal Gray is next at +1200.
