Tiz the Law closed as the 5-2 betting favorite in Pool 6 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager.
The Barclay Tagg trained Tiz the Law closed as the 5-2 favorite in Pool 6 of the Kentucky Derby Future Wager when betting ended on Sunday. The colt would return $7.20 for a win.
The Belmont Stakes (G1) winner is perfect in three starts in 2020, taking the Holy Bull (G2) and Florida Derby (G1) before winning the first race of the 2020 Triple Crown.
Next up for the colt in this unorthodox Triple Crown season is the Travers (G1) on August 8 at Saratoga. The colt will use the race as a prep race for the Kentucky Derby (G1) which will be run this year on Sept. 5.
Santa Anita Derby (G1) winner Honor A. P. and Los Alamitos Derby (G3) winner Uncle Chuck both closed at odds of 6-1. Honor A.P. would pay $14.00 for a $2 ticket while Uncle Chuck would return $15.80.
Honor A.P. will make his final Derby prep in the Shared Belief at Del Mar on Aug. 1. The Bob Baffert trained Uncle Chucky, undefeated in two starts will make his next start in either the Shared Belief or ship to Saratoga for the Travers.
Art Collector closed as the fourth choice on Pool 6 of the KDFW at 8-1. The colt has won four of his eight starts, taking the Toyota Blue Grass (G2) at Keeneland on July 11 in his last outing. The Tom Drury trainee is likely going to train up to the Kentucky Derby.
Authentic closed as the fifth choice at 9-1. The Baffert trainee won the Haskell (G1) at Monmouth Park on Saturday.

In Pool 2 of the Kentucky Oaks Future Wager, which was conducted concurrently with the KDFW, Acorn (GI) winner Gamine closed as the 2-1 favorite over Road to the Kentucky Oaks points leader and Blue Grass (G2) runner-up Swiss Skydiver, who was 9-2. Ashland (GI) winner Speech was the 10-1 third choice.
