What a difference a little time makes, as the vaccine continues to make a massive impact and breathe new life into professional sports activities. As the country and the world continue to open up slowly, the possibility of fans in the stands is inching closer to being a possibility.

A few weeks after the grande event of the Cheltenham Festival, it is back to business as usual, and what better way to announce the weekend than to head to Newcastle? It is going to be a flat card and the perfect opportunity to snap up an amazing offer online that could be add extra excitement for the start of the weekend fun on the tracks.

Newcastle has hosted only one meeting since the 22nd of March, when the turf was last decompacted, meaning the going will be anywhere around standard to slow. The forecast predicts sunny spells and no rains as we prepare for an eight-race card, which kicks off at 1:40 PM with the LADBROKES HOME OF THE ODDS BOOST FILLIES’ CONDITIONS STAKES. The first race of the day will be a GBB race for two-year-old fillies over a distance of five feet. Eleven horses will be on the grid of the Class 4 run for a pot of 8,100 GBP.

Expect some speed and a quick draw for this battle between nine stone youngsters. The follow-up will be another Class 4 run of seven feet and fourteen yards for horses four years and above. The BOMBARDIER HANDICAP STAKES will see horses rated 61-80 gun for 9,250 GBP, with over half of the starting grid weighing in at nine stones. Thirteen will be the number of participants, and it should be another exciting race, with geldings making up 99% of the grid. The BETWAY HANDICAP STAKES will come up as the second of two 2 PM races and another Class 4 run for six feet and 9,250 GBP up for taking. Athollblair Boy and Tippery jack will be running in their second race of the day, in back-to-back style.

The line for this one will be horses rated 66-85 and aged four years old and above. The fourth race of the day will be the biggest pot of the day, with commanding prizemoney of 50,000 GBP. The only Class 1 run of the afternoon, the LADBROKES BURRADON STAKES will be the marquee race of the day, run over a mile and five yards.

Eleven will line up at the grid, but only one will cut the finish ahead. The second highlight of the day will be the LADBROKES WHERE THE NATION PLAYS NOVICE STAKES, with a pot of 11,500 GBP. The run will be for Class 3 three-year-olds. The other races of the day are Class 4 and lower, sandwiched between the two highlights of the day.

The curtain will be closed by two five-feet races, the LADBROKES WHERE THE NATION PLAYS NOVICES STAKES and the HEED YOUR HUNCH AT BETWAYHANDICAP STAKES.
