A field of ten two-year-old fillies will line up on Sunday in the $400,000 Frizette (G1) at Belmont Park, one of four Breeders’ Cup Challenge “Win and You’re In” races on tap.

Six fillies and mares will battle in the $500,000 Flower Bowl Invitational (G1) and we have a pair of Breeders’ Cup Challenge races at Keeneland.

Heavy rains in Lexington could move the $250,000 Bourbon (G3) to the main track. A field of 15 entered in the race, which is a “Win and You’re In” race for the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1).

The $500,000 Spinster (G1) winner earns a free trip to the Breeders’ Cup Distaff (G1) and could be contested over a wet track.

The race drew a competitive field of 13 with the three-year-old filly Lockdown, the 3-1 morning line favorite.

The Frizette morning line favorite is Separationofpowers at 8-5. The Chad Brown trainee was the beaten chalk in the Spinaway (G1) last out at Saratoga where she was third.

Only two others in the field have stakes experience—Spinaway runner up May Malibu (4-1) and Wall of Compassion (12-1) who was a distant third in the Adirondack (G2) at the Spa.

Let’s head out to Belmont Park for Sunday’s featured race of the day:

Belmont Park Race 7 The Frizette G1 (Post time 4:13 ET)

#4 Separationofpowers   9-5

#1 Maya Malibu   4-1

#10 Critique   6-1

#6 Purrfect Miss   5-1

Analysis: Separationofpowers earned a solid number breaking her maiden in gate to wire fashion by 11 3/4 lengths in her debut at the Spa. She returned in the Spinaway (G1) where she dueled for the early lead and weakened late while drifting outward in a third-place finish. She is bred to run all day and the extra ground here may suit her. She is by Candy Ride out of an Empire Maker mare that has dropped three other winners. The Chad Brown barn is 26% winners moving runners form sprint to route.

Maya Malibu broke her maiden at Delaware Park two back in her debut by six lengths as the chalk. She also came back in the Spinaway where she tracked the early pace and finished gamely for the runner up spot, beaten 3/4 of a length at 12-1. She also should have no trouble with the extra ground. She is by Malibu Moon out of the stakes winner Island Sand ($1.18 million) who has dropped four other winners, top earner stakes winner Martini Brother ($175,774).

Critique pressed the early pace and drew off while lugging in to break her maiden by 16 lengths in her second career start going seven furlongs over the wet track in a race washed off the turf. She was second in her debut in another race taken off the grass. By Midnight Lute out of a Maria’s Mon mare that has dropped four other winners, she looks as if she still may have some upside.
