There is a wide variety of prop and match up wagers available for the Kentucky Derby, with Bovada spicing things up this year with wagering involving the winner of the race along with the winner of the big fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao.
One prop that will get some action is involving Itsaknockout, the Todd Pletcher longshot in the Run for the Roses.
The odds of the colt winning the Derby and Mayweather winning the fight stands at 50-1. A Itsaknockout-Pacquiao double is at odds of 66-1 at Bovada.
“I have gone on record saying that this Derby may be one of the biggest bet in recent memory solely on the fact that it is the same night as probably the biggest fight of the millennium,” said Kevin Bradley the Sports Book Manager at Bovada. “Looking at the lead up action on the fight and on the Derby, I would say that it most likely will be and that the entire Saturday may reach Super Bowl levels combining those two huge events along with the NBA and NHL playoffs.”
American Pharoah can be locked in at odds of 13-5 at Bovada, and the odds of the Bob Baffert trainee winning the Triple Crown stands at 17-2.
Dortmund is currently the second choice at Bovada at 7-2, and his odds of winning the Triple Crown stand at 11-1.
