The 2012 running of the $750,000 Toyota Blue Grass Stakes (G1) is set for Saturday, April 14 at Keeneland, and will be televised on CNBC during a one hour telecast that gets underway at 6:00 ET.
The race drew a field of thirteen three-year-olds looking to use the race as a springboard to the 138th running of the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in three weeks.
The champion 2011 juvenile champion Hansen is the 6/5 Blue Grass morning line betting favorite for the race. The Mike Maker trainee is coming off a victory in the Gotham (G3) at Aqueduct on March 3.
Others in the Blue Grass expecting to take betting action include Palm Beach (G3) winner and runner up Howe Great and Dullahan, who are both listed at 6/1 in wagering odds.
Tampa Bay Derby (G2) winner Prospective is 10/1 on the morning line and the wagering odds of Swale (G2) third place finisher Ever Do Lucky is 12/1.
