There are more than seven months to go before the first Saturday of May rolls around, but it is not too early to get a future wager in for the 2013 Kentucky Derby, which will be run for the 139th time on Saturday May 4 at Churchill Downs. The 2013 Kentucky Derby Future Odds have arrived.
Wynn Las Vegas has released their 2013 Kentucky Derby Future Wager Odds, listing 160 promising two-year-olds, with odds ranging from 30-1 to 350-1.
The early favorite is the Mark Casse trained Uncaptured at 30-1 betting odds. The colt has raced four times, all wins at Woodbine over polytrack.
His last win came in the Swynford Stakes on Sept. 9 where the colt drew off easily to win by 3 ¼ lengths under a hand ride, defeating three overmatched foes with Patrick Husbands in the irons.
Uncaptured Wins Swynford Stakes
The Todd Pletcher trained Shanghai Bobby is second choice at odds of 40-1. The colt is one of a big group of juveniles that Pletcher ran at a very successful Saratoga meeting.
The son of Harlan’s Holiday won the Hopeful (G2) in his last start on Sept. 3 and is undefeated in three career starts.

Pletcher’s Tizracer is next in the betting at odds of 50-1. The colt was a good looking maiden winner in his second career start at Belmont Park on Sept. 8., winning by better than ten lengths in a good looking effort.
There are three runners listed at 60-1 odds and they are all in the Pletcher barn.
Dreaming of Julia is perfect in two starts, breaking her maiden in her debut by 10 ½ lengths, and then coming back to win the Meadow Star Stakes on Sept. 9 at Belmont Park by 16 ¼ lengths.
The filly is out of the Grade 1 winning mare Dream Rush.

Micromanage was a good looking debut winner for Pletcher at Saratoga on Sept. 1, one of 16 two-year-old first timers that Pletcher took to the winners circle during the Spa meeting.
The colt is by Medaglia d’Oro out of a Flying Paster mare and has the look of a colt that will only get better as he stretches out in distance.
Micromanage Breaks Maiden at Saratoga
Violence is also a son of Medaglia d’Oro. The colt was well backed in his debut, the $600,000 purchase sent off at 4-5 and he was all out to pick up his diploma by a neck.
Pletcher’s two-year-olds figure to be well represented in upcoming stakes for juveniles including the $200,000 Futurity (G2) on Sunday, Sept. 30, and the $400,000 Foxwoods Champagne (G1) on Saturday Oct. 6.
