The Bob Baffert trained Blueskiesnrainbows is the 3-2 morning line favorite. The colt is coming off a gate to wire win in the Swaps (G2) at Betfair Hollywood Park on July 4.
Second choice on the morning line is Bourbon Courage, who is coming off a game effort in a runner up finish in the West Virginia Derby (G2) in his last outing at Mountaineer Park on Aug. 4.
Others that figures to take betting action include Prelude winner Key Donation, Cougar II (G2) fifth place finisher Fly Lexus Fly, and Rousing Sermon, who competed in the Kentucky Derby back in May, checking in eighth.
The Super Derby is one of six stakes on the 13-race card at Louisiana Downs on Saturday, with purses totaling over $1 million for the day.
Post time for the opening racer is at 12:15 CT, with the Super Derby scheduled as the tenth race on the card with a 5:10 CT post time.
Among the other stakes on the strong betting card include the $100,000 Unbridled for three year olds and upward on the grass, $150,000 Sunday Silence for juveniles on turf, and the $100,000 Happy Ticket for two year old fillies.
There will be $100,000 guaranteed Pick 4 that will run on the 8th through 11th races, all stakes.
