In the latest Breeders’ Cup Turf (G1) betting odds it is the Euro invaders that are taking the most action, accounting for the four early betting favorites.

The Prix de ‘Arc Triomphe (G1) winner Enable is the solid betting favorite for the Turf at odds of 5-7 at USRacing. No Arc winner has come back to win the Breeders’ Cup Turf, although 11 did lose the Arc and come back to win the race.

Among those is Found, who in 2015 was the first filly to win the Turf since Miss Alleged in 1991. Found was ninth in the Arc, ran second in the Champions Stakes (G1) and then came to the U.S. to beat the boys in the Turf.

Roaring Lion is the second choice in Breeders’ Cup Turf betting at USRacing at 7-2. The plan for this colt is to go in the Champion Stakes (G1) on Oct. 20 at Ascot and if all goes well then a trip to the U.S. The John Gosden trainee has won three in a row, taking the Irish Champion Stakes (G1) on Sept. 15 at Leopardstown in his last outing.

Defending Champ is Coming Back

Talismanic is the defending champion of the Turf, pulling off the upset last year returning his backers $30.20. The Andre Fabre trainee was a disappointing 13th in the Arc in his last start. Last year his tune-up for the Turf came in the Prix Foy (G2) at Chantilly where he ran third. The five-year-old is the current third choice in the betting at 7-1.

Crystal Ocean is also listed at 7-1 in early Turf wagering at USRacing. He landed in the exacta in each of his five starts this year, winning a pair of Group 3 races and a Group 2. Perhaps his best effort was his neck loss in the King George VI & Queen Elizabeth Stakes (G1) at Ascot in July.

The Euros have won eight of the last 10 editions of the race.

Among the U.S. runners the shortest price belongs to the Chad Brown trained Robert Bruce at 16-1. The colt ran second in the Joe Hirsch Turf Classic (G1) at Belmont Park over soft turf in his last outing.

Channel Maker, the winner of the Joe Hirsch is pointing toward the Turf but not yet listed at USRacing. The Bill Mott trainee figures to be in the 12-1 to 14-1 range.
